So basically have you done it, did … WebJun 6, 2024 · As far as the stretch goes I have done some research, I have found that most YJ’s that are stretched, have shackles mounted on or near the rear bumper like the photo below (not my jeep) On my jeep the shackles are mounted more rearward on the frame and have a good angle.

Be warned, the XJ springs flex no better/worse than the YJ springs. The centering pin is actually within an inch of the YJ springs on the short side. Just that the other side is longer.
